Position Summary:This person will work closely with the sales team, category manager, and other sales analysts on the Walmart team to provide anaytical and consumer insight support for the Walmart business development team. This individual will analyze POS, syndicated data and consumer trends to identify sales opportunities and propose solutions to their customer team. In addition, this person will provide post event & distribution analysis, including pricing, promotional, and competitive analysis.
This person will assist the sales team with presentation development coupled with the necessary sales support materials. Responsible for ensuring all customers maintence forms support the selling process and customer requirements. Will assist in the execution of all customer promotional plans and modular transitions. Key Accountabilities/Primary Responsibilities:Access, analyze, and interpret business indicators of shipments, share, consumption, promotional efficiencies and effectiveness. Generate and analyze reports and make effective recommendations to sales team.
Support fact-based selling needs of the sales team.
Identify key insights on the business and share recommendations with the sales team on a regular basis.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the business and industry trends. Key Skills and Competencies Required:*1-3 years in fundamental sales analytics, focused on developing base POS and revenue reporting
*Strong analytical and cognitive skills
*Ability to develop selling presentations to support customer appointments in Power Point or MS Office Products based programs
*Self directed and highly motivated
*Detail oriented & able to work in a fast-paced competitive environment
*Strong organization, communication, math, and problem-solving skills
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
*Sense of urgency
*Proficient computer skills and strong technical skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, and Retail Link
*Strong financial acumen
*Ability to manage multiple priorities & projects effectively at once Education and Experience Required:*BA/BS required, preferably in Marketing, Business, or Finance
*1-2 years work experience in the Consumer Products industry preferred
