Responsible for Medical Nutrition Therapy and physical education component of the Diabetes Prevention Program
Bachelor's in Dietetics or Nutrition meeting requirements for registration with the Commission on Dietetic registration. Must be currently a Registered Dietitian in any U.S. State or Territory and able to be licensed in Alaska within one year of hire. Experience working in health care setting focused on diabetes care desirable; Certified Diabetes Educator certification preferred. Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy and physical health education for the Diabetes Prevention Program. Participate in Diabetes planning activities in conjunction with the Nutrition Care Director and Diabetes Program Director. Presents nutrition education, health promotion, and staff training in villages. Responsible for reports and tracing activities required by Diabetes Program Med Nutrition Therapy grant. Responsible to relieve Nutrition Care Director in their absence.
