Kindly review and contact me to learn more: The Company Platform Architect (PA) is a critical member of the solution engineering sales team, working in partnership with the other members of the organization to present and discuss the technical value of the Company strategic platform to customers and prospects. The PA will demonstrate and present various Company application offerings from a technology and architecture perspective, with a focus on matching the various solution components to the needs of our customers. This role is the key technical person engaging with and supporting the Company field organization through understanding of the process to plan, configure, and manage the strategic platform. The Platform Architect must consistently demonstrate the ability to act independently and with a matrix team to continue to gain knowledge and enhance their expertise about the platform and best practices. This includes focused learning on industry standards and direction and leveraging the gained knowledge to help explain the value proposition. Responsibilities:
Support sales opportunities by positioning the strength of Company's strategic platform by understanding the customer's business processes, identifying pain points, and proving value opportunities
Developing in-depth knowledge of the Company product solutions and creating effective sales materials to prove their value of the strategic platform
Present and lead Company technical vision presentations at Industry Events, Focus Groups, and Company Conferences
Articulate our current technology infrastructure as well as our future technology direction
Function as a liaison between the client and prospect base and the product organization to ensure the strategic platform needs of those groups are incorporated into the future product direction
Desired Technical Experience
Minimum 5 years J2EE Applications experience
Demonstrated work experience installing server-side Java enterprise applications using WAS, Weblogic, and other administrative tools
Experience deploying applications to servers, clusters, and virtual hosts
J2EE development experience in JBoss, Websphere, and Weblogic environments.
Application development experience in Java, EJB's, Servlets, and JSP
Experience with standard markup languages such as HTML and XML
Experience with Web Services such as SOAP, UDDI, and WSDL
Demonstrated knowledge of Bean Scripting Framework languages
Experience with Java-based IDE
Database design and analysis experience (preferably on Oracle)
Good understanding of Oracle architecture and the various Application Tier and Database tier components: underlying objects, schemas/products, database objects, file system structure, tables, views, packages, procedures, sequences, indexes, and constraints
