Responsibilities
The nurse practitioner performs as an independent and interdependent member of the health team to provide specialty advanced practice nursing care in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, collaborative agreement and established policies, procedures and protocols of the cent Indianapolis RegionalHospitals. Will be working in a busy Occupational Health Office for healthcare employees. Involves preemployment screening, employee injury & illness triage/care in occupational health setting, case management, epidemiological investigation, preventative medicine and record keeping.
Requirements:
EDUCATION/LICENSURE MSN from a formalized, accredited program. Current Indiana RN license. Current NP Certification by ANA, National Certification Corporation, or Specialty Organization. BLS Healthcare provider required. Prescriptive privileges required by OAHP.
EXPERIENCE One year experience in Occ Health, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, Emergency Room or Student Health. Medical Center Occupational Health experience preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal or no supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
WORK SCHEDULE Full-time 40 hours per week position. Monday through Friday.
