Cost Accountant
Responsible for inventory cost standards, purchase and manufacturing price variance reporting and investigation, bill of material and operation routing changes review, manufacturing rate calculation, production labor reporting, inventory transaction classification and recording.
Tracking of fixed assets from purchase to capitalization.
Reviews and analyzes property, product and general liability insurance needs and premiums.
Investigate and reconcile sales, receivables, accounts to ensure accurate financial recordkeeping.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred or related field: MBA and/or CPA helpful. Three (3) years professional level accounting experience including the areas of general accounting, cost accounting, fixed assets, and depreciation.
Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing programs.
Perform a wide variety of general or specialized accounting functions; conduct financial studies and analyze; prepare accompanying reports.
