Our Oak Forest facility is seeking Illinois licensed clinical psychologists for an adult day program.
Selected candidates will be working with mentally challenged adults by providing both individual and group therapy sessions along with psychosocial educational workshops, programs and activities.
The clinical psychologist will screen medical records, conduct interviews and complete a variety of assessments and treatment plans, set treatment goals based on the consumers individualized needs and conduct group therapy sessions.
The psychologist will need to prepare psychosocial educational materials and create curriculums as
needed or required.
The position coordinates with the operations manager, activity department, LPN and other staff
members in the provision of services to our consumers.
Requirements:
Should have a Psy.D or PhD
Unrestricted License to practice in the State of Illinois a must
Ability to to conduct individual assessments and develop treatment plans with the most successful outcome
Experienced in leading group sessions with topics relevant to the needs of the clients, facilitating interaction and socialization among the group
Ability to prepare social and family histories and cooperate on the formulation of reports
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent interpersonal skills, self-awareness, objectivity, and a strong desire to help others
Ability to work independently, capable of giving direction to others and to work under pressure in certain cases
