Account Representative

The Account Representative, Renewals identifies and manages accounts up for renewal and works to ensure that the renewal is successfully closed by communicating with key contacts and/or accounts on a consistent basis. The Account Representative is responsible for following-up with customers to renew license subscriptions using a sales focused and consultative approach. The Account Representative must meet specific/pre-determined targets to ensure goals are met.

Responsibilities of Account Representative, Renewals:

• Monitor assigned accounts from Purchase Order to Renewal using our CRM system / spreadsheets, tracking customer renewal status through all points of the renewal process.
• Communicate with all renewal customers during budget reviews to manage renewal status.
• Cultivate relationships with renewal customers to ensure their renewal is forthcoming.
• Identify accounts near expiration and follow up with customers via telephone to determine their renewal status.
• Communicate with all current accounts after Budget Renewal Letters are sent out in February to ensure status of renewal and verify the correct contact person.
• Identify accounts that may not renew service and relay necessary information to all appropriate parties in timely manner.

Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BS
• 2+ years of work experience in a fast paced corporate environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years CRM or experience
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience with sales and/or renewing contracts
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the demonstrated ability to initiate and execute customer follow-up, with a goal toward relationship building
• Self-motivated, goal and detail-oriented, persistent and dependable with strong probing skills
• Must be available for travel throughout assigned territory
